Easter weekend in my home meant a lot of candy, decorated eggs, baked ham and continuous re-runs of The Ten Commandments or The Wizard of Oz (two of the BEST films ever made).
As a child, I remembered being completely terrified when Moses parted the Red Sea. That was some heavy duty stuff. Even now, I still get shivers watching that scene. If I had been there I would’ve been running across that sea bed, not taking my sweet time like everyone else.
And who doesn’t remember those flying monkeys? These things also scared the bejesus out of me as a kid and judging from the comments under the clip (on YouTube), I wasn’t the only one.
So my friends, how about you? What were your Easter Holiday traditions growing up? Do you still continue on with them today? I’d love to hear about them.
